NWRA Certification Program
For ROLAGS Compliance and ROLAGS Proficiency
This Education and Certification program has been developed and is administered by the National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA), the only association in North America dedicated solely to the needs and promotion of windshield repair. NWRA member companies subscribe to the highest levels of professionalism, safety and ethics. Its educational programming offers a variety of certification and Continuing Education. This program promotes and educates compliance to the Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard (ROLAGS)™, the only standard developed by the Industry.
Certification shows that those certified have successfully completed this course and understand the steps necessary for a company and its individuals to be in compliance with ANSI/NGA R1.1-2007, the Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard.
In order to be certified, you must have a minimum of six (6) months experience performing repairs, and successfully pass the certification exam. Candidates may sit for the exam at any time, but they will not receive the actual certification papers until the six month requirement has been met.
NWRA conducts Certification testing online.
Certification is valid for two years, and expires on the day in which you became certified.
In order to maintain certification, each person must successfully complete 1 continuing education units (CEUs) learning units during the period above. A CEU consists of 20 questions primarily in the areas of technology, political and regulatory as well as the general state of the industry. The questions are developed testing current knowledge of the windshield repair or auto glass industry. If your certification remains current, you do not need to reapply, nor do you need to take a new written or practical test. If your certification lapses, you must start over.
Should you not receive a satisfactory score, you must wait a minimum of two weeks before taking the final exam again. You may take the final exam up to three (3) times in the year following your application for certification. After that time, you must re-register.
NWRA certification does not imply endorsement of a particular company, nor does it warrant that work is being done properly. Individuals successfully completing the course had shown their knowledge of what is necessary for ROLAGS compliance and ROLAGS proficiency, according to the ROLAGS Standard and NWRA protocols.
